A quiet kind of progress

Make room for the green again.

Every handful leaves a little more ground in view. There is no clock to beat: just seven gardens, better tools, and the soft satisfaction of finishing a patch.

01

Find your footing

Enter on a desktop or laptop. Walk with WASD and look around with your mouse. Escape releases your mouse and pauses the garden.

02

Clear a small patch

Look down and hold the left mouse button to pick up leaves. The rake and blower move leaves; right click collects with every tool.

03

Visit the compost bin

When your sack fills, walk to the wooden bin and press E. Spend the coins on a bigger sack, stronger tools, or a leaf vacuum.

04

Open another garden

Clear 90% to lower the next gate. Each finished courtyard leaves you a permanent gift, from faster walking to stronger tools.

A few things to know

What is Silverbrook?

A free, independent first person leaf clearing game. Explore seven original autumn courtyards, collect leaves, earn coins at the compost bins, and improve your equipment. There is no timer or daily wait.

How do I open the next garden?

Remove 90% of the leaves in the current courtyard. Its gate sinks away and you receive a permanent reward. Raking or blowing leaves changes their position; it does not count as clearing. Pick them up or use the vacuum to remove them.

How do the tools work?

Hands pick up nearby leaves. The rake draws leaves toward you into piles. The blower pushes them away. Right click collects with any equipped tool; the vacuum collects a wide patch directly. Empty your sack at a compost bin with E and press B to buy tools or upgrades.

Can I play on a phone?

The village currently needs a desktop or laptop with a mouse, keyboard and WebGL 2. Use WASD to walk and the mouse to look. On touch devices, you will see the device requirements. The other games on this site work on phones.

Does my progress save?

Your garden, moved and removed leaves, coins, equipment, upgrades and position are saved in this browser every few seconds and when you pause or leave. No account is needed. If browser storage is unavailable, you can play for the current visit and a notice explains that progress cannot be saved.

Can I reset or keep playing after the final courtyard?

Both. After restoring the Village Green, return to any open garden and clear the last few leaves. To start again, pause with Escape and choose Reset saved progress; a second confirmation protects your current garden.

Who made this version of Silverbrook?

This independent game is inspired by the calm first person cleanup genre. Its world, code, artwork and progression were created for this site. It is not affiliated with the original games or their creators.
